Piracy case: Hacker named Gary Bowser must pay Nintendo

The hacker made and sold software that allowed access to pirated games

A hacker named Gary Bowser — who shares his surname with the fictitious, turtle-like villain in several Nintendo games — has accepted to pay a fine of $10m (£7.5) over piracy demand.

This accord is the most recent evolution in a civil case brought against Bowser by Nintendo in the US.
